Visit of the Patriarch of the Ethiopian Church, Abuna Mathias to the Community of Sant'Egidio

The Patriarch of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, Abuna Mathias yesterday visited the Community of Sant'Egidio in Rome, with whom she has a long history of friendship. The Patriarch met with students of the Italian language school in the Community, along with some Syrian refugees arrived in Italy thanks to the humanitarian corridors.<br>Abuna Mathias then met with the founder of the Sant'Egidio Community Andrea Riccardi and the president Marco Impagliazzo which focused in particular on the theme of Christian unity, peace on the African continent and the humanitarian corridors for refugees. The visit ended in the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere with a prayer together with the Community of Sant'Egidio.
